Snorkeling in Epidavros
The best spot for snorkeling in Epidavros is undoubtedly the Sunken City. This incredible underwater area boasts the remains of a Roman Villa dating back to 500 BC. Lying in approximately 1.5 meters of water, the ruins consist of walls, floors and huge amphora pots which were once used to store wine, oil and grain. The site is easily accessible from the beach and makes for a perfect snorkeling adventure. We can rent you a mask and snorkel for just a 5 euro donation to the local animal charity Artamiti. We are very happy to be able to help the animals both above a below the water!

If you would like to try scuba diving (even as a complete beginner), we can take you on an introductory dive in a different location (scuba diving is not allowed on the archaeological site), and combine with snorkeling the sunken city afterwards, or if you are diving with us, we can often incorporate snorkeling this area during the surface interval between dives.
